Obituary for Dayle Harper

Dayle Anton Harper, 61, died December 5, 2017 with her family by her side in Houston, Texas.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9th at 10:00 am at Grace Presbyterian Church, 10221 Ella Lee Lane, Houston, Texas, 77042. It was Dayle’s wish that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her granddaughters’ education fund https://www.youcaring.com/dayleharper-1036358.

Dayle’s life would seem short to many, but those who knew her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her humor, wit, and deeply loving heart brought joy to all she touched in life.
Dayle was born on July 1st, 1956 in Los Angeles, California to parents Sally Dale Shannon and Paul August Anton. For many years, she was a loving stay-at-home mother who devoted her life to her children and creating a home of beauty, warmth, and joy. She had a passion for caring for others in hospice care where she found great fulfillment. She loved spending days with her precious granddaughter Scarlett; going to the hill country with her husband David; lunches with her children; laughing with her friends over a nice glass of wine; and a sunny day at the beach.

Dayle is survived by her loving husband David Harper; her beloved daughter Jamie Horton and husband Thomas, her cherished son Jesse Leon; her adored granddaughters Scarlett Grace and soon to arrive, Katherine Dayle, and Caroline Anton Horton; sister Lynn Farwell and husband Michael, brother David Anton and wife Valerie, brother Michael Anton and wife Kimberly; her deeply loved nieces Melissa Farwell, Peyton and Mirabelle Anton, Victoria Goettlicher; nephew Ian Farwell; and her beloved life-long friend Lori Deck and husband Gary.
