In her early work career she was a manicurist and hair stylist in downtown Houston at the Ralph Rupley beauty salon. She was also a member of Phi Beta Fraternity, Chapter Alpha Epsilon in which she totally loved. She also enjoyed artistry from time to time in her home in which she turned out some beautiful paintings, some centered around the ocean, snow scenes & old cottage homes around a mountain stream. She also loved animals and was a lifelong supporter of the ASPCA animal foundation. She enjoyed talking about the past, from being raised thru the depression and to the current events that the great grandchildren were participating in school events today and the Saturday night polka show.
