William Finley “Bill” Mulvaney passed away peacefully on May 22, 2018, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 83.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Sarver, his daughter Mikelyn (Lois), his daughter Kelly (Ward), his grandson William Aron, and numerous nieces, nephews, one brother in law, and two sisters in law. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Joseph Mulvaney, Sr. and Mabel Finley Mulvaney, and his brother Edward Joseph Mulvaney, Jr.
Bill was born on November 22, 1934 in Wilkinsburg, PA. He graduated from Pasadena High School in Texas, where he lettered in football. He was a member of the ROTC. After attending University of Texas and Rice University, Bill worked as an Engineer in the Petro-Chemical industry over 30 years and spent most of his career at ABB Lummis Crest as a Manager of Piping and Design.
Bill was a member of Long Point Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He enjoyed playing golf and volunteered as a golf marshal. He was an amazing father and grandfather, and a wonderful husband.
The funeral is scheduled for Sunday May 27, 2018 at Woodlawn, 1101 Antoine Drive at 3:00, with visitation on May 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm. Honorary pallbearers will be Doug Hanks (nephew), David Hanks (nephew), Roy Mulvaney (nephew), Ward Black (son in law), and Tommy Simon (brother in law).
