Obituary for Theresa Tilotta

Theresa Tilotta
We lost Theresa Ann Tilotta - our ardent daughter, sister & friend on June 13, 2018 after a lengthy struggle with cancer. She will be remembered as an athlete and competitor, dancer of all musical genres, sweet and spiritual individual devoted to friends, family & particularly canines. She rescued strayed or abandoned dogs on almost any occasion during her last decades. Though her spirituality was not visible to all, her soul will be felt by anyone she touched while on this earth.

Though not usually punctual she was known as a hard worker in Treasury accounting over a decade at Toyota & its previous subsidiaries as well as various law firms in the Houston area. She played well at soft ball, golf and anything she determined to master and always indicated an eagerness to return to the Rockies or Sierra Nevada slopes to demonstrate her grace and skill on black or blue runs. She was a feisty personality with a sometimes cutting wit that could mask the deep soft core she could variously exhibit to strangers, family, friends and animals. T was known as intensely loyal to her family and her wide circle of friends even in the midst of the inevitable conflicts.

She is survived by her mother, Pegge, brothers Dan, Mark, Steve, sister Leesa, niece Tara, nephews Aaron, Justin, Ray, Nathan, James, brother-in-law Larry, sisters-in-law Seal, Maureen, god-daughter Stacy, her dogs Jackie, Sissy, Cody, a pond of entertaining goldfish, wonderful neighbors as well as many loving friends who were with in her last days.

A visitation is planned for Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Woodlawn Cemetery located at 1101 Antoine Dr., Houston, TX 77055 with Rosary prayers offered at 6:30 pm. A funeral service follows on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 11 am with interment at the Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service are Justin Tilotta, Ray Tilotta, Aaron Sanford, Nathan Tilotta, James Tilotta and Larry Brown.
